Few words…

I have worked across EMEA for more than 25 years in the payment and digital banking industry.
I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to work for flagship companies in my early career such as JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, DXC consulting and Fortis Bank.
Having acquired best practices and cultural adaptability, I took a start-up company to market with its first product offering and customers, spent several years at the leading MENA bank (QNB, based in Qatar) and finally at payment acceptance companies such as Verifone and Castle Technology, getting to market the first unified commerce offering in France for a large retailer.

I can’t wait for the next challenge to come!

From an academic background, I have a master in engineering (Ecole Polytechnique of Brussels) and a MSM (Master of Science in Management) from Boston University.

Leadership

Leadership is critically important to the success of a company. Putting this into practice has given me one of the most enjoyable and successful aspect of my career.

I saw it as my role to support the people, to do everything in my power to make the team successful, by fostering a culture of trust, empowerment, communication and knowledge sharing throughout the business. The team developed a clear sense of purpose, a commitment to the shared goals of the organization, and a real sense of ownership.

Product Management is as the heart of every organization, it contributes to if not shapes:

Effective Product Management is, to me, all about:

  • Outlining a clear product strategy, underpinning the overall corporate strategy, associated with clear and well communicated targets and roadmaps
  • Fostering, in line with the company ambitions, innovation through mind shift and lateral thinking
  • Delivering within given budgets and competitive go-to-market cycles
  • In case of mature organizations, leveraging company’s assets (in many organizations, a number of assets are often under evaluated if not unknown) to benefit from features that have matured overtime, providing rich service offering embedded in new innovative initiatives
  • Last but not least, it is about, leading, coaching and developing people for the best of their evolution and the company’s attractiveness

The world of business is global. I really enjoyed having an international exposure throughout my career covering different cultures as different as US, UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia).

Having spent more than 25 years in the payment and fintech industry, I enjoyed that international experience which is a key asset within the industry.
Payments have no borders…

As an international Head of Product and a business leader, I have therefore learned to be adaptable, open to new ideas and curious about different ways of doing as well as to embrace the challenge of doing business in different parts of the world. Think globally and deliver locally where appropriate, is not just a concept, it is at the heart of my DNA.
