Leading is about sharing a passion. It is about providing people a vision, communicating the corporate’s “big picture” and how the team is fitting within this picture.
It is about supporting people to achieve their goals and show empathy along the journey.
Leading is about being clear about everyone’s (expected) contribution, efficient decision making and communication.

Leading is also to me about living the culture, creating a team spirit, transmitting my passion to people, inspire innovation and… making people feel they are part of a winning team!

Pulling people up is about supporting them to enable them to get the best out of themself. Often people don’t thrust their capabilities… They don’t dare to try out… It is all about giving them confidence in themself and in their leader.
The purpose being to make them evolve, getting to the next step if they aspire to and make them enthusiast about them and their work.
Sharing knowledge is a key enabler of this process. Sharing knowledge about the business they are in, their function, best practices, life experience and of course… leading.

Trust works both ways. Trust people and they will trust you. It is about honesty, transparency and measure. Trusting is measuring to provide support, to empower people and move beyond individual’s mistakes.
Trusting is about respect, respect about people’s limits… we all have limits and there is not point to burn resources… To me it is as important to pull people up than paying attention to not crossing their limits…
It provides them confidence when you empower them with more….
People trust you when you truly care for them.
It benefits all of us… and the business.
